Inspiration Video

We teamed up with Clay Productions for our Inspiration shoot last year at Darby Dan Farms. I wanted to wait till the new website launched before sharing the video but then I had a baby and my brain became mush for a little while.

Better late then never to share this beautiful video on this beautiful day!!

Photo Shoot

I had been excited to show you all our pictures from our photo shoot at Darby Dan Farms but was unable until our feature was out. It’s been awhile now but I at least had to get some up on the blog. A special thanks to Darby Dan, Henry Photography, Enticings Icings, and Create in Joy.

Pinterest

I feel as though I am so busy all the time and being 34 weeks pregnant doesn’t leave me with a lot of energy. When I do finally have a spurt you would think I would want to get to my to-do list, work on the nursery, go to the grocery, or finish with my obsessive nesting stage but NOOO I’m in front of the computer sucked into Pinterest. I am sure 99% of you know of the site, if not let me explain…. Pinterest lets you organize and share all the beautiful things you find on the web. People use pinboards to plan their wedding, decorate their homes. and organize their favorite recipes. You can make a pinboard about anything you little heart desires. If you love inspiration I suggest you get on board asap.

If you would like to follow the boards of yours truly, follow me at http://pinterest.com/mmj_events/

To give you a little teaser, here are some of my pins.

This is what I want my office to look like

“Just Married”

Ever wonder where the custom of decorating the getaway vehicle came from? It all goes back to those evil spirits. In the nineteenth century, couples in the American South and Midwest were commonly followed home on foot by their guests banging on pots and pans and making as much noise as possible in part to keep spirits away. As for the shoes, they dated back to the Tudors, when throwing a clomper at the couple was suppose to bring good luck- if you hit either the couple or the carriage, you got an extra dose.

Although I love traditions I’m glad the getaways are now about having fun and getting creative!!
Want to steer away from the stretch limo? Go out in style with some of these unique getaways…

3 minutes of romantic inspiration

Back in February I had the pleasure of attending a workshop in Charlotte North Carolina put on by Ivy Robinson. Her work is amazing! I learned so much in the few days I was there. I was blown away by the new mock up she did for style me pretty. This video inspires me to expand my creativity. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!
