Destination Weddings in the US
Monday, June 6, 2011
Martha Stewart came up with a list of the best destination locations in almost all 50 states therefore there is something for everyone! I enjoyed look through this so much I thought I would share a couple of my favorites with you. I was shocked at how many great places in states I never would have thought. It’s fun for wedding but it’s also fun to look for unique vacation spots.
Alabama
Huntsville Museum of Art, Huntsville hsvmuseum.org. This modern space offers four versatile settings for saying “I do,” including an outdoor patio and a large gallery with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking Big Spring International Park. If they can tear themselves away from admiring the landscape, guests can browse the contemporary Southern artwork.
Arizona
The Ritz-Carlton, Dove Mountain, Marana ritzcarlton.com, The attentive wedding planners at this new resort (shown at right) will create menus and drinks for you (even color-coordinated margaritas).
Colorado
Aspen Mountain Club, Aspen thelittlenell.com, A breathtaking three-mile gondola ride carries guests from the resort to the clubhouse, where a deck looks out over the Elk Mountain Range. If alfresco entertaining isn’t your style, indoor options include a wood-paneled wine room or the Montagna Exclusive, a top-rated bar and restaurant with a 20,000-bottle wine cellar.
**I’ve never been to Colorado but have always wanted to go and this has just made it higher on my travel wish list.
