Not a day that goes by that I am not grateful for my job. Even on the stressful days, when dealing with bridezilla moments, and when my feet are so swollen from a wedding day I can hardly walk on them, it’s all worth it! I feel so honored when clients choose MMJ for what is one of the most important days of their life. That feeling was no exception when it came to Hannah and Dan.
After doing this for 6 years, I don’t get very nervous at consults anymore. But I remember meeting Hannah and Dan and being super nervous. Maybe it was because we weren’t meeting in my office so I felt out of my element or maybe it was because deep down I knew how badly I wanted to be apart of their day. Regardless, I left feeling like I blew it. So when I got the text that they wanted to move forward you know I was doing my squealing happy dance. Hannah and Dan decided to get married on Fourth of July. If you know me, I love myself a holiday! Any chance to theme or decorate, I’m all in. A holiday wedding is no exception.
Hannah shared with me early on in the planning process that her mother had passed away. She told me how she sees butterflies frequently and feels it’s from her mom. We did a butterfly release at the ceremony to honor her mother, as well as having her locket attached to her bouquet. As her aunts released the butterflies, one single butterfly decided not to join it’s friends and instead flew over to Hannah and landed on her bouquet! Goosebumps, right?! It was such a beautiful moment to witness.
You are stunning Hannah

Ink and Ivory designed such an incredible suite for Hannah and Dan we decided to turn their envelope liner design into a custom bar. My modern heart was in love with all the small details that were created based off of this invitation.
It’s been months and I still can’t the gorgeousness! Posy perfected our vision for a lush all white floral runner for the head table. I imagine our pillows in heaven will look a little something like this.
The fourth of July would not be complete without s’mores and sparklers! These sparkler escort cards are now one of my favorite’s I’ve ever done.
Thank you so much for allowing me to be apart of your special day. Can’t wait for the real Leonard shower someday 😉
